This piece looks at the issue of rape within Southampton. This document shows the crime data from the police from 1st Jan 2018- 28th Feb 2019. 523 rapes were recorded. Even though this figure is shocking enough as it is, this is crime data. This means that this is cases that have been reported AND followed up on.
